OOTD; Another Matching Set

floral blazer & trousers | topshop sale | £45.00 (for both)
lilac top | vintage shop | £5.00
silver platforms | zara | 20.00ish
Each year the Topshop sale seems like an actual battle ground, girls grabbing hangers left right & centre, unfortunately this year I was one of those crazy people to (just not so aggressive, no elbow pushing was used). I got quite a bit of money for Christmas so thought why not spend it on new clothes (&my driving test to, but mainly clothes as always). Anyway, I spotted this suit & luckily it happened to be matching sizes and fitted me well. The jacket was reduced from £55, to £25 and the trousers £45 to £20 then student discount on top making it quite a steal.
I think its still available on the Topshop website if you fancy a peek for yourself.
I really love two piece sets and how they can be worn together or separate, I wore the jacket last night with a dress but may wear the matching suit for new year (If I don't find any other bargains of course).
Topshop always manage to make amazing matching suits so keep your out if you fancy one for yourself, especially in the sales.
Hope you're all well & had a lovely Christmas.

OOTD; Pink Tartan

hat | old
tartan two piece | charity shop | £5.00
I recently bought this skirt & jacket set from a little charity shop (surprise, surprise). It was originally a size sixteen but I've took it in and hemmed it on the sewing machine, the skirt was actually ankle length but I preferred it much shorter. I really liked how the colours are not typical tartan and although the jacket still looks a bit big, I think I can deal with looking like I have huge oversized shoulders for the sake of pink and purple tartan.
Hope you're all well.

Sunday Steal

printed midi dress | charity shop | £1.00
As usual another old lady charity shop dress. I found this in the little charity shop near my house, everything in there is just £1 so pretty much anything is good for its price. I always pop in just to see if the is anything I like & really for one pound I doubt I'll ever walk out without parting with an entire £1 coin. I really like the pattern and think it would be nice with some ankle boots during winter or sandals in the summer, although it has a belt with it I might swap and wear a vintage black one just to make it stand out a bit more. Have you found anything good in the second hand shops recently?

DIY Christmas; Button Tree's

Christmas is almost here& I always love making some of my presents rather than just buying them all. Last year I made teacup candles and fabric hangers but I thought I'd go for something a little more Christmas themed this year. I spotted these cute button tree's on pinterest. Pinterest is really good place for DIY Christmas ideas, or just and DIY idea's at all, I'm currently hooked on re-pinning things. Anyway I thought they'd be a cute present for my nan's, plus they can always use the pins&buttons too.
You will need;
- polyester cone (e-bay or craft shops)
- selection of buttons
- pin (with a plastic head on are best as they hold the pin)
I don't think I really need to do step by step instructions just as it literally is as easy as it looks.
Place the button where you want it& push the pin through the hole to keep the button in place.
Two cones took me about an hour so it's pretty quick to.
I've seen all kinds of shapes not just tree's, button baubles are really cute.
Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time but I do have a few Christmas DIY posts lined up& will be back properly once I finish uni for the Christmas break, Hope you're all well!
