OOTD; Charlotte Simone Big Bird Bomber & Bell Bottoms too!

Faux Fur Jacket | Charlotte Simone
White T-shirt | Topshop
Body Chain | ASOS
Bell Botton Jeans | ASOS | here
Stan Smith Trainers | Adidas
How exciting.. I am now the very proud owner of a Charlotte Simone bomber jacket! This amazing wardrobe newbie has been added alongside to my two Charlotte Simone popsicles and make me one very happy girl when looking at my wardrobe.
When I very first spotted the Big Bird Bombers hit the Charlotte Simone website I thought they would 100% have to be a 'splurge' buy and that I should wait a while to see if I really wanted one as mich as I thought just because they are a little on the pricey side (especially when you already own as many coats as I do). But as the months passed, I still found myself swooning over the jackets on social media and visiting the CS website on pretty much a weekly basis. Then just a few weeks ago I noticed that Charlotte Simone was having a HUGE summer sale meaning I could bag this beauty of a coat for myself with an amazing 30% off.
Although I loved literally every colour the Big Bird Bombers are made in, I went for this stunning blue & grey combo (even though it was pretty hard to not go for the pink). I thought these colours would be perfect for the cooler month especially to style up with a simple t-shirt & jeans for days when I feel a little less 'glam' so to say (Sunday'zzzzz).
For this outfit I wore my new bell bottom jeans from ASOS, a simple white tee, gold body chain for a hint of dainty detail & my Stan Smiths too. I am so glad I managed to get my hands on this fluffy coat of dreams as I just know it's going to be one of those pieces I keep in my wardrobe forever!
I'm actually pretty gutted that the UK is having a spell of sunshine ATM as I can't wear it all day, everyday.. (Pretty sure I'll regret saying that when it's none stop raining haha).

Have you gone all out & splurged big money on a dream item recently?
Or have something just have been eyeing up for a while and just can't stop thinking about?

Let me know!
I hope you're all well & having a great week so far.

OOTD: Topshop Boutique Pink Peplum & Ripped Jeans

pink peplum top | topshop | £40 here
ripped jeans | DIY
leopard shoes | topshop
bag | zara | £10.00
marbou feather coat | eBay

I never thought I'd see the day I was a fan of ripped jeans but.. here I am, none stop wearing them!
I even ripped the holes in these ones myself..

I really love styling more 'edgy' pieces so to say, such as ripped jeans, black jeans, leather etc. with super girly items just to make them suit my style a little more, so of course I went for this brand new pastel pink top I bought from Topshop Boutique just last week. I love how the peplum is just on one side & of course I was sold by the colour. I also added my favourite velvet leopard shoes and fluffy jacket for a touch of texture too!

I hope you're all well & had a great weekend!
What did you get up to?

NYC - What I got up too..

In my last post I was a few days away from jetting off to the big apple for a city break...
New York was everything I thought it would be & more, so amazing!

To be honest I was a little nervous about going mainly because of how people say you can't stop for a second without getting trampled on haha, but luckily enough I never came face to face with a situation like that (maybe Times Square actually, but other than that, all safe & sound!).

As a city I actually found New York to feel one of the safest & most friendly places I had ever visited!

So what did I get up to?

Of course the obvious super tourist trips had to happen.. Statue of Liberty was top of the list for me as I had seen so many amazing photographs & just could not wait to get snapping some of my own!

We had around five days to explore the city & made plenty of stop offs in the following places -
Central Park
Rockerfeller
5th Avenue (luckily our hotel was just off of here which meant lots of shopping!)
The Guggenheim Art Gallery
The Natural History Museum
Chelsea Market
The High Line Park
Times Square
Upper East Village (Sex and the City fans know the score)
Grand Central Terminal
& the Empire State Building

We were super lucky with the weather for most of the days which made me one very happy tourist!
One of my favourite, not so typical tourist hot spots was the CUPCAKE ATM machine at Sprinkles Bakery just opposite Bloomingdales..
After spotting this gem on Instagram & my friend telling me all about it, I just knew I had to go & let me tell you the red velvet cupcake did not disappoint, so delicious!

For other not so typical hot spots I made a Pinterest board before I left which you can find .. here!

As I also mentioned, the hotel I stayed in was just off of 5th Avenue which was perfect for me just not so much for my bank balance / holiday budget. On the very last day I caved and treated myself to a new pair of Miu Miu sunglasses, as I already have the green glitter ones I thought I would keep it classy and go for all black with simple gold details. I love them so very much & see them as I kind of reminder of how much of a great time I had in NYC too!

Have you been anywhere exciting recently or jetting off sometime soon?
Let me know!

I hope you're all well.

OOTD; A Day In London

This Saturday, me and my boyfriend headed to London for a belated birthday trip for him, we went not to long ago (the beginning of the year) so decided we would have a more kind of tourist day out and do a few different things, these including the London Eye and a trip to Shoreditch and Brick Lane, before a spot of shopping in Oxford Circus too.

It was such a lovely day, one of those ones that you never want to end, plus we were very lucky with the weather too as it was lovely sunshine most of the day, with the odd patch of rain showers too (it is England after all). Although we didn't take any full blog style outfit images, we did take quite a few photo's which I thought I would share..

Sunglasses | Miu Miu
Pink Blouse | Archive by Alexa | £35.00
Flare Jeans | H&M | £20.00
Silver Boots | Daisy Street | £30.00

Hello there famous pelican of Brick Lane (we walked quite abit to get a glimpse of this one).

As well as the amazing graffiti down near Brick Lane, it's also know for it's bagel shops, markets and of course all things vintage. We headed in to a small indoor market and found these amazing pineapple flowers.. Of course I had to buy them but they did get a little squashed after being carried around London for almost ten hours haha. They are still going strong though and are currently placed in my rose gold vase near the window!

I'm heading off to New York bright & early in the morning and I'm so excited although slightly terrified of having jet-lag haha.. anybody else have that as a fear or just me?

What did you get up to this weekend? Be sure to let me know!

Hope you're all well!

OOTD; The Eliza Dress

On Sunday I wore my Alexa for M&S Eliza dress for the very first time, it was super sunny & warm weather-wise meaning no tights and instead just a simple pair of patent black boots!

I actually really like the look of ankle boots & dress with no tights, just bare legs now. I used to find the combination would make me look really strange height/body proportion wise, I'm not sure if it was because of where my boots stopped etc. but I'm very much a fan of the look now!

Sunglasses | Miu Miu
Dress | Alexa Chung for Marks and Spencer | £45.00
Backpack | Topshop | £80.00
Ankle Boots | Topshop | £35.00

I also popped on my fluffy Topshop backpack and Miu Miu sunglasses to keep from taking squinted eyes blog photographs..

I hope you're all well and having a great week so far, happy hump day too!

Archive by Alexa Chung

Of course we all seen this blog post coming.. Archive by Alexa!

In Wednesday's post I briefly wrote about ordering the Eliza Dress from the Alexa archive collection for Marks and Spencer & so thought it could be nice to piece together a little post fully devoted to this. Although I did only order the one dress online, I may of made a trip to the closest Marks & Spencer store near by and bought the Harry Blouse yesterday..

Eliza Dress | £45.00

Harry Blouse | £35.00

As the Marks & Spencer's closest to me is pretty big I did initially think they may have a few of the Alexa pieces in stock however when I got there they actually had the whole collection with so so many sizes left. When I was paying at the till the lady said that they had received double stock of the Alexa pieces and had placed all the remaining stock out that afternoon so once it was gone, it was 100% gone..

In terms of what I think of the collection as a whole, I actually think it's really great quality & fits really lovely although I have seen a few posts on social media of people not agreeing with this.
The prices I also think worked out really well as they were pretty much just normal M&S prices.
I've also spotted some of the items listed on eBay already for literally double their original prices,
it's crazy what a limited edition item can do haha!

(pink or white was the question.. pink of course!)

I'm not completely sure if any of the items will still be available online at the M&S website as you're reading this, but right this second whilst I'm writing, they currently have a lot left and a whole range of sizes. To click through to have a little look the link is here.

I hope you're all having a great weekend so far!

Also, be sure to let me know what pieces you picked up from the collection if any, or even just your faves from seeing them online etc.

OOTD; Cut Outs & Marabou Fluff

coat | ebay | £30.00
cut out jumpsuit | asos sale | £30.00
metallic pink shoes | topshop sale | £10.00

From faux fur to marabou feathers, I'm still crazy for any form of fluffy clothing at the moment so I just couldn't wait to share this amazing feathery jacket..

A few months ago I spotted a marabou feather jacket pretty much identical to this in Topshop (you can see it here), naturally I took it to the changing rooms and swooned over it for a good few minutes before deciding £150 was just way to pricey for a coat that wasn't going to keep me very warm at all. A couple of weeks later and of course I still had this fluffy coat on my mind aswell as pinning endless oufits that the coat would go with so well!

These Pinterest outfits of dreams in mind I thought why not take a little peek on eBay and see if there was anything similar to the Topshop coat.. of course there was (in a whole load of different colours too) and for £30 and around a months wait later here it is, fresh from a plane journey via. China.

I also managed to pick up this denim cut out jumpsuit in the ASOS sale and I'm so happy I did, I think its going to be a real wardrobe staple this spring as its just really easy to throw on and style easily too.

Back to the fluff.. it actually scares me a bit to think we can see something on our computer screens, click buy and it will literally arrive on your doorstep from anywhere in the world! Technology is pretty crazy when it comes to shopping.

I hope you're all well & having a great week so far!

OOTD; Charlotte Simone Popsicle

Charlotte Simone..
The most dreamy & amazing faux fur accessories around in my opinion. So if your boyfriend not only knows about the brand to begin with but actually manages to find the one you've had your eye on for months and buy you it, he's a good egg right?

I've loved the Charlotte Simone popsicles for I'd say at least a year and a few months now but after spotting one in Liberty for almost half price I did the whole "oh I don't need it" and as soon as I got home had the instant 'I NEED it, WHY did I not buy it' regret. With Valentines day coming up my boyfriend was so so thoughtful and after a lot of favours and phone calls to Liberty somehow managed to get me the pink popsicle!! As well as a black cuff too!
Two Charlotte Simone's and I get to have them early too which is kind of like a present in itself.

I think it means such a lot when somebody goes out of their way to get you something really special, even something not expensive (unlike this little faux fur piece) but knowing somebody has gone out of their way for you is one of the nicest feelings in the whole world. I did almost cry when I found out how he had got me them but held back so he didn't think I was completely weird crying over a little bit of fluff ha ha!

I'm probably never going to take my Charlotte Simone scarves off until at least summer so lets see just how many outfit posts they appear in..

On Sunday we headed to a little place that was full of tea rooms and pastel painted buildings, we were only there for an hour or so, but after bacon & maple syrup pancakes and the BEST black forest hot chocolate I've ever had, we were more than ready to come home. That was of course after a few outfit photographs and me look extremely awkward as people walked past me taking them (naturally)..

black polo neck jumper | primark | £5.00
faux leather dungarees | topshop sale | £35.00
bag | zara | £30.00
lace up shoes | river island | £30.00

If you have somebody willing to go out of their way for you be sure to hold on to them, even if it's just them picking up your favourite sweets after you having a bad day, people like that are hard to come buy whether it's a friend, a family member, a boyfriend etc. Make sure they know you're grateful & appreciate it.
I'm pretty sure my boyfriend is fed up of me saying thank you already and it's only been a week or so ha ha!

Is there anything pretty expensive you have on your wishlist and are saving up for at the moment?

I hope you're all well and have a great weekend!

Today is the day..

Hello & a very (tiny bit late) Happy New Year!
Now, I don't want to be one of these people that does the whole 'new year.. new me' situation but a whole new year is definitely something I see as a fresh start, whatever that may be within.. work, family, friends, hobbies etc. But that being said a fresh start can be any single day no matter if its the 1st, 3rd, even 29th day of the month!

Of course, I want this to be the year were I plan (&actually manage) to blog every single week and stick to it but that's something that shall take time I guess, so for now I thought I'd start by sharing an outfit I wore over Christmas..
Think peter pan collars, leopard print & blue velvet!

peter pan collar shirt | charity shop | £3.00
blue velvet skirt | topshop | £30.00
fluffy bag | asos | £30.00
leopard print lace up shoes | topshop | £70.00

I wore this outfit for a few drinks on Christmas Eve & really do love the hem of the skirt as it is almost a wave effect. This skirt was one of those items were you buy it and a few days later, ta daa there it is in the sale..
Annoying but I guess you've just got to think at least you have it in the right size & aren't desperately squeezing yourself into a size smaller in the changing rooms because you 'have to have it" or "it's only £15.00" .. we've all been there, trust me!

Did you manage to pick up any sale bargains? If so, I'd love to know!
I hope you're all well & look out for my next post, I'm super excited to share where I went last week, it includes ALOT of pink!
