OOTD; A Day In London

This Saturday, me and my boyfriend headed to London for a belated birthday trip for him, we went not to long ago (the beginning of the year) so decided we would have a more kind of tourist day out and do a few different things, these including the London Eye and a trip to Shoreditch and Brick Lane, before a spot of shopping in Oxford Circus too.

It was such a lovely day, one of those ones that you never want to end, plus we were very lucky with the weather too as it was lovely sunshine most of the day, with the odd patch of rain showers too (it is England after all). Although we didn't take any full blog style outfit images, we did take quite a few photo's which I thought I would share..

Sunglasses | Miu Miu
Pink Blouse | Archive by Alexa | £35.00
Flare Jeans | H&M | £20.00
Silver Boots | Daisy Street | £30.00

Hello there famous pelican of Brick Lane (we walked quite abit to get a glimpse of this one).

As well as the amazing graffiti down near Brick Lane, it's also know for it's bagel shops, markets and of course all things vintage. We headed in to a small indoor market and found these amazing pineapple flowers.. Of course I had to buy them but they did get a little squashed after being carried around London for almost ten hours haha. They are still going strong though and are currently placed in my rose gold vase near the window!

I'm heading off to New York bright & early in the morning and I'm so excited although slightly terrified of having jet-lag haha.. anybody else have that as a fear or just me?

What did you get up to this weekend? Be sure to let me know!

Hope you're all well!

OOTD; Charlotte Simone Popsicle

Charlotte Simone..
The most dreamy & amazing faux fur accessories around in my opinion. So if your boyfriend not only knows about the brand to begin with but actually manages to find the one you've had your eye on for months and buy you it, he's a good egg right?

I've loved the Charlotte Simone popsicles for I'd say at least a year and a few months now but after spotting one in Liberty for almost half price I did the whole "oh I don't need it" and as soon as I got home had the instant 'I NEED it, WHY did I not buy it' regret. With Valentines day coming up my boyfriend was so so thoughtful and after a lot of favours and phone calls to Liberty somehow managed to get me the pink popsicle!! As well as a black cuff too!
Two Charlotte Simone's and I get to have them early too which is kind of like a present in itself.

I think it means such a lot when somebody goes out of their way to get you something really special, even something not expensive (unlike this little faux fur piece) but knowing somebody has gone out of their way for you is one of the nicest feelings in the whole world. I did almost cry when I found out how he had got me them but held back so he didn't think I was completely weird crying over a little bit of fluff ha ha!

I'm probably never going to take my Charlotte Simone scarves off until at least summer so lets see just how many outfit posts they appear in..

On Sunday we headed to a little place that was full of tea rooms and pastel painted buildings, we were only there for an hour or so, but after bacon & maple syrup pancakes and the BEST black forest hot chocolate I've ever had, we were more than ready to come home. That was of course after a few outfit photographs and me look extremely awkward as people walked past me taking them (naturally)..

black polo neck jumper | primark | £5.00
faux leather dungarees | topshop sale | £35.00
bag | zara | £30.00
lace up shoes | river island | £30.00

If you have somebody willing to go out of their way for you be sure to hold on to them, even if it's just them picking up your favourite sweets after you having a bad day, people like that are hard to come buy whether it's a friend, a family member, a boyfriend etc. Make sure they know you're grateful & appreciate it.
I'm pretty sure my boyfriend is fed up of me saying thank you already and it's only been a week or so ha ha!

Is there anything pretty expensive you have on your wishlist and are saving up for at the moment?

I hope you're all well and have a great weekend!

These are a few of my favourite things - October Favourites

I actually can not believe we are so close to the end of the year already, it's literally flew by!
Halloween is this weekend, then Christmas! ahh!

Anyway, I thought I would post about a few things I have been loving this month.
First up, THESE Topshop bargains!
Last week I went out for a little afternoon shop, not for anything in particular (you know those day's that turn into you seeing all sorts you don't need& before you know if your hands are full&bank balance ran dry..) but Topshop was having a huge mid-season sale so I thought why not take a peek.
I spotted these pink beauties and felt like it was shoe fate when they were actually my size!
Wait for the best bit.. These only cost me £10!! Such a great bargain.

Next, Alexa Chung app - Villoid!
Now of course anything Alexa does is pretty much perfect but her app, I honestly can't explain my love for it.
Super simple to use & gives me so much inspiration for outfits in no time at all.
If you don't know what Villoid is yet, imagine Pinterest and Polyvore tied together/ if those two websites had a child..

Basically you create boards with images, clothing items, accessories etc. and then save them to your personal profile which other users can see& you can also share them via. twitter, instagram etc.

Here's a couple of style boards I have created so far..

You can also buy the exact items directly through the app, so if you're anything like me be sure to keep your bank card out of reach..
...There's only so many times I can swoon over Shrimps fur before I crumble!
Also I tweeted about putting together this post& Alexa favourited it, how amazing!?
I feel like my 14 year old self would be dying over it nevermind me right now at 22!

Moving on, a shop I have been loving this month is Paperchase, seriously from their Christmas decorations to cute funny postcards, Paperchase is like heaven at the minute! I picked up these three decorations last week.. a pineapple, a Christmas ostrich and angel sausage dog, halo included of course! All their Christmas decorations are on 3 for 2 also which basically means you get a free one so why not buy more..
(that's a question I'm asking myself at the moment, as I'm sure I'll be heading back soon).
I also have a photo wall in my bedroom which has lots of mix matched frames filled with photo's, quotes etc. so I wanted to find some quirky little postcards that I could pop into a few empty frames I had.. Ta Daa!
Literally the coolest postcards ever, &they are super cheap too!
"you looked taller on tinder"
&&
"real unicorns have curves"

My very last favourite for this month is my Alex Monroe Bumble Bee Necklace, this is very much a favourite for me every single day not just this month. I bought it at the very beginning of the year using money I got as Christmas gifts from family. I went for the rose gold version just so it could suit my everyday jewellery a bit more, so far the chain has started to go a bit dis-coloured, but after almost a year of wearing it every single day I can't really complain.
I love how the little bee adds just enough dainty detail to any outfit!

Have you found something new that you're particularly loving this month? Or even an old fave?
Let me know, I hope you're all well.

OOTD; Vintage Leopard Dress

sunglasses | asos | £12.00
leopard dress | vintage shop via. eBay | £50.00
patent black shoes | new look | £10ish
bag | zara | old
Another classy changing room photo shoot for this post.

I think this could be my favourite dress of the moment, I spotted it on eBay from a vintage shop, they specialised in retro and vintage costumes but had a few quirky pieces for sale too.
This dress was actually classed as a vintage 1950's night dress and was floor length when I originally bought it.
I knew instantly that I would make it quite a bit shorter when I bought it and once I received it in the post, I cut quite a bit off.. I'm really happy with the idea of shortening the dress because it means I get to have a chunk of the lovely leopard fabric which I can use to either make something else or even a little accessory to match.
I love buying vintage things because they are usually so well made and also kind of one off's since you can't just go out and find the exact same item on the high street, making the garment a little bit more special.

Have you found any vintage pieces lately?
&I hope you're all well.

Vintage Table Sale; Alot for Less

Today I visited a little village about an hour away from where I live, they have loads of vintage& charity shops as well as a heap of vintage looking bicycles everywhere, literally a dream place for me.
To make things even better, today there was a huge table sale in one of the little old churches, I spent around £25.00 and honestly couldn't believe how many great bargains I got, all with genuine vintage labels to.
( &minus the overpriced tags that you usually find).
floral two piece trouser set | £2.00 for both.
metallic/ pastel blue top | £2.50
leopard print kimono | £4.00
pastel pink high waisted trousers | £4.00
pattern peplum top | £3.00
pastel floral playsuit | £5.00
I also bought a huge reel of lilac wool to make a whole load of pom poms which was just £3.00 too.
total : £23.50
I've already re-organised my clothes rails ready to get snapping some outfit photographs.
Hope you're all well& enjoying the beautiful weather if you're here in the UK.

DIY; Fringed Tops

Today I went into town with my boyfriend, he got pretty scared when we went to the mens section in Primark and I started picking things out for myself haha. I got these tops quite cheap because I thought they'd look pretty good after I did abit of DIY on them. I also treated myself to a new American Apparel dress, I annoy myself when it comes to AA skater dresses because I could make one in a few hours for about £5.00 worth of material, but I just don't have the time at the moment//the quality wouldn't be the same. I have the peachy one but really liked the navy blue one so I went all out and spent some pennies £££.
Jimmy Hendrix Top; £8.00; Primark
Ombre Tee; £7.00; Primark
Salmon//Pink Top; £2.50; Primark
AA Skater Dress; £39.00; American Apparel

Tassels and Rose Gold

I haven't done a post about buying things for a while now but I haven't bought much in ages.. I went shopping with my dad today and got these bits (thank god for pay day). After reading all the blog posts about Real Techniques brushes I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. I used my boots point to purchase it so it didn't even cost me one penny ££. Then I went to H&M, I've wanted the cuff for ages but when I got home I realised I'd bought M/L (clever) so its abit big but still, If I layer it hopefully I wont loose it. I also got this tassel t-shirt&bag from ZARA, I LOVE tassels so it was a perfect thing for me. Also I got these three little velvet scrunchies which I plan to wear if I just have my hair in a top knot or whatever. I hate plain hair..
Hopefully I'll be able to post abit more often this week, sorry.
Hope you are all well.
Leopard Skater Dress; H&M; £7.99

I heard she broke your heart again..

Just a few pictures today.. I did take pictures for a outfit post but they turned out really bad (it was getting a bit dark to take them). Anyway I ordered this skeleton canvas tote off Esty. It hasn't came yet but its the first thing I've ordered from out of the UK so fingers crossed it actually turns up. I've also really wanted a hat so I seen this pretty lilac one of Topshop and couldn't help but buy it, I'll have to see what its like when I get it, hopefully it won't look stupid. The flowers are in IKEA which I then edited, I think IKEA is one of my most favourite places.. Sad I know, &the other two images are myself. The UK is having a lovely sunny weekend this week so I'm going to get some outfit pics which I'll put up tomorrow or Tuesday..
Hope you are all well.
